Landlords Insurance Eligibility
To be eligible for our Landlords insurance policy, we ask that you meet the following requirements:
- That you are a private individual and the property is occupied solely for residential purposes
- That the property is built with brick, stone or concrete and roofed with slate, tile, metal, asphalt or concrete and is in a good state of repair
- The property to be insured is a residential property in the UK
- That the property is not showing signs of, or has ever had any damage caused to it by landslip, subsidence or heave
- You, your partner, children or any other person permanently living with you (excluding tenants) have not been convicted of any criminal offence (other than motoring convictions or any offences which are spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974) in the last 5 years or have any prosecutions pending
- You or any of your family living with you has not had home insurance cancelled, declined or declared void
- The property is not being let to tenants seeking asylum in the United Kingdom
- That the property is let under a tenancy agreement directly between you and your tenants
- That the property is occupied by a single family, or no more than 6 individual tenants
- You or any member of your family living with you must declare any previous claims from the last 5 years
- That the property has not suffered from flooding or flooding has not occurred within 50 meters of the property
- The property is not left unoccupied for a total of more than 90 days in a row
